About Me
I'm a PostDoctoral Associate with the Learning Research and Development Center at University of Pittsburgh. I received my PhD in Social Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington in June 2022. My research program explores basic questions that can be applied to understand and improve the recruitment and retention of people from historically underrepresented backgrounds (e.g., women of color, white women) in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) roles. As an instructor and mentor, I craft equitable and inclusive, student-centered learning environments that intentionally facilitate student engagement and growth. Fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is a key pillar of my academic and personal identity. I am deeply committed to cultivating environments wherein everyone is empowered to achieve their goals and belong.
